My fascination with sewing began when my daughters were little. I wanted to dress them in the cute dresses displayed in the large department stores, but like many young families we didn’t have the disposable income to spend large amounts on them. My husband and I bought my first sewing machine, and the adventure began! My love of sewing has grown and now I enjoy sewing craft projects, costumes, tote bags, purses, clothing, and quilts.
After moving to Northwest Arkansas and raising our girls, I began selling sewing machines and notions at B Sew-Inn in Fayetteville, where I worked for 14 years as a sales consultant and eventually became the Store Manager. I completed my college degree in Human Environmental Science in 2017. I decided to leave B-Sew Inn in April of 2023 and soon after that the opportunity to open Sew It Is Fabrics came about. I think fabric makes people happy.
I am excited to meet new friends looking for fun new fabrics and inspiration, as well as seeing sewing friends that I have gotten to know over the years.
